Classic Baked Meatloaf

Ingredients

  • 500 g beef mince
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce (ketchup)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Glaze: ¼ cup tomato sauce + 2 tbsp brown sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F)
  • In a large bowl, mix mince, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, milk, tomato sauce, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
  • Shape into a loaf and place in a greased baking dish.
  • Mix glaze ingredients and spread over the top.
  • Bake for 50–55 minutes until cooked through.
  • Rest 5 minutes before slicing.
